Coulters Daisy Coulter's Daisy is one of the many daisies and asters found at Tahoe. I like the beautiful form of this flower.
Dusty Maiden The Dusty Maiden clearly shows the many small flowers that make up the 'button'.
Hawksweed Hawksweed is another ray flower only composite. Its has pure white glow.
Mule Ears Mules Ear is a large flower that grows on volcanic soil usually in large numbers producing field of yellow. Their long tap roots sink up to 30 feet into the ground allowing them to grow large in dry terrain. The soft leave can be very useful during hiking emergencies :).
Sneezeweed Sneezeweed does not make me sneeze, but I do love the graceful posture.
Stephanomeria Large Stephanomeria has only ray flowers. This one was photographed on the hike up to Squaw Valley tram station. Check out the reproductive parts with each flower and the unique color for which I have no word.
