The many reproductive parts and easy access indicate that this flower is a "generalist" open to any and all pollinators. The survival strategy is to produce lots of pollen and leave some with anyone who stops by. Other flowers are constructed for only specific pollinators, but not our rose. This is a Fan Cinquefoil.
Praire Smoke Prairie Smoke is Both subtle and soft. In the early floral phase, the flower dives gracefully towards the ground. When pollination is complete, it lift it head, opens, and out comes the 'smoke'.
Spirea Spirea is found in many nurseries and looks pretty much like Mother Natures'. This cannot be said for most other roses! This species seems to be all reproductive parts, giving it a furry look.
Sticky Cinqfoil Sticky Cinquefoil has whitish petals to go with the otherwise yellow motif. Notice all the male reproductive parts with the "pads" (anthers) which deliver pollen to the passing pollinators.
